DIFF DAILY - Interviews

Ali Hammoud - Lebanon

The man behind the Lebanese documentary About Those Who Have Gone, based on the families of the victims who perished in the violent events surrounding the 2005 assassination of prime minister Rafic Hariri. "There have been other movies and documentaries on victims of violence, but this one stands out because it is a faceless portrayal, that emphasises sensitive handling of the issues" says Hammoud, a minimalist at heart. "People always appreciate good portrayals", he says.
